ENGINE MANAGEMENT
OMEX 710 engine management system replacement/upgrade to the standard TVR system. The OMEX 710 allows engine setup and power mapping to be done in real time, as opposed to having to re-program an ECU chip off the car, each time the engine specification changes, or more power is required. Standard features that come with the OMEX 710 include NOx sensor monitoring, semi-sequential fuelling, rev limiter built in, barometric pressure fuelling compensation, twin lambda sensor support, separate mapping facilities built in for engine cranking and warm-up cycles, plus air and fuel temperature fuel injection pulse width compensation. The Omex 710 ECU comes housed in a billet machined high-strength aluminium  enclosure, less wiring harness. Custom TVR-specific wiring harness available separately..

Note: The rod ratio is 1.57 the same as the standard long rod 4 litre engine; the piston speed at 7500 rpm is 75.5 ft per second .The offset piston pins help the engine to run quieter, but more importantly this slows the piston down and puts less loading on the rod.

Note: The Rod Ratio on this engine is not compromised it is 1.52 and the piston speeds are 78 ft per second at 7500 rpm. The offset piston pin allows quieter running but more importantly it puts less loading on the rod .

OUR CAMSHAFTS ARE MADE FROM CORRECT GRADE CHILLED IRON. THEY COME SEMI-FINISHED AND ARE PROFILED AND PARKERISED FOR US BY KENT CAMS. THESE CAMS ARE MADE FROM OUR OWN TOOLING AND THAT ALLOWS US TO PROFILE THEM TO YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

Engine rebuild prices are based on the customer supplying a serviceable core engine. If, after inspection, your car's engine requires additional work to make it suitable for rebuilding by RND Engineering, we will not go ahead the work until we have discussed the cost implications – if any – with you. If you do not have a suitable core, please contact us, as we may be able to source one for you.

Payment must be received in full before collection, delivery or despatch from our workshops will be authorised of customers' cars, part-built engine assemblies or other components. Full details on our price lists and warranty pages.
